Should you buy a new San Antonio Texas home or an existing one?
There are some inexpensively priced new San Antonio homes on the real estate market if you’re interested in getting an amazing deal from the home builders. Many San Antonio custom home builders are highly motivated to cut deals to reduce inventory, especially if the buyer has obtained a buyer’s agent who knows the knows the buyers’ incentives available and can advocate vigorously on behalf of the buyer’s interest.
Investing in a new home makes a lot of sense for many young famiies buying a home, as opposed to buying a fixer upper that has the potential for costing a lot of money with fix it items and a to-do list a mile long after the purchase. With a new home purchase, buyers tend to report a much higher satisfaction rate with their purchase than those who bought previously owned homes. Why? There are several reasons.
Buying a new home will reduce your overall risk
When you invest in a new home, there is generally less risk of getting burned by unforseen repairs because you are dealing with a reputable company with many other homes and communities in most cases. In fact, just walk down the street and talk to other residents. You’ll instantly uncover the the quality of the home, and (hopefully), the amount of confidence you can have that you’re getting a good deal. If you don’t want to have to worry about a hidden defect you may need to deal with later, buy a new home, not a used one.
New homes are less hassle
If you don’t want to have to deal with common things like replacing old carpet, repainting walls and ceilings, and waiting for a contingency clause to pan out (believe me, that can take awhile and is a major deal-killer), then you need to give some thought to purchasing a new home rather than a pre-existing home. Because the home builder has done the home sale process before, chances are pretty good the transaction will go quickly and painlessly. With private party transactions, though, you are much more likely to have delays and missteps along the way to your closing.
You guessed it…you can avoid all that by buying a new San Antonio home instead.
